Who We Are

Oyo state Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was created by His Excellency, Governor ‘Seyi Makinde as part of his deliberate efforts to improve the lives of the people of Oyo State. The Ministry is core to the achievement of the four (4) cardinal objectives of the present Administration in the State i.e. to provide access to functional and qualitative Education; ensure availability of quality Healthcare facilities; to guarantee Security of life and property; and to make Oyo State the fastest growing economy in Nigeria. Towards this end, the vision, mission and objectives of the Ministry have been coined in consonance with the core mandates of the Ministry to provide energy security and to make Oyo State an investment destination in the minerals sector.
